  just finished watching the talk by tony morris on john cedars channel.

  sounded to me that he was hedging his bets.

  on the one hand he says "this is it" and out of the other he says prophecies are best understood after they are fulfilled.

  No worry here. When their perdictions don't happen then they will just say it was all misunderstood on what they were saying. Or they may blame the flock for not doing enough in service to God. There, problem solved. Still Totally ADD

  When You Were A JW Did You Really Understand The Religion and What You Were Getting Into?

  many witnesses in my opinion know nothing about the religion.

  they don’t understand the history, the doctrines or the bible.

  many people become jws because they were raised as witnesses so they take the plunge.

  Took the plunge at the age of 16 and of course being a born-in I knew it all. Not! Even when I was a elder it was hard if not impossible to understand it all. When I was in it chaged every other year. Now it seems to chage every other month. How could anyone know with this cult what they are signing up for? Still Totally ADD

  Remember The Green Song Books

  then new and improved purple song books that came out in 1966. then there was the brown song book and a even newer one in 2006. .

  thousands of hours wasted singing those stupid songs and their stupid lyrics.. song 106 "watch how we walk and watch we talk.

  i remember inserting different works in the lyrics to relive the boredom.

  i have long collected the older books and magazines that show the jws crazy cult history.

  they used to be very cheap and i have had people just give me books.

  but now it seems the older stuff that shows the crazy cult history is really going up in price.

  Introducing myself

  i have been introduced to this site by my new friends that are helping me navigate through the reality of waking up and finding out that i have been lied to my whole life.

  i grew up in the truth and have given over thirty years to this organization and the few years i wasn’t there my mind was certainly trapped.

  the more i think about it i am really not that surprised there was a lot along the way that should have woken me up but it took till recently.

  Welcome leopold to the bright side. Don't feel so bad you didn't wakeup sooner all of us here are diffrent. It took me allmost 53 years to wakeup. That's OK my wife and I as well as our youngest son and his family are cult free. Take your time in thinking things out as the old saying goes "the truth will set.you free". Take care and good luck.   Moving to Minnesota

  you probably think i need mental counseling but i am moving from southwest florida to minnesota.

  i was just there last week in the -29 degree weather to close on a house i bought in oakdale, minnesota.

  being a florida resident for 5 years has taught me that it is no longer the paradise that people think it is.

  Happy Dad be safe on your move. I lived in FL for 40 plus years moving away in 2011. I totally agree with what you have to say. I work in construction in that hell hole heat for most of my adult life. Wages have always been low there unless you are in insurance, banking or government. When the big mouse moved in early 1970's that was the beginning of the end for FL. Over building and the destruction of the environment was a very sad thing to see. If it was not for air conditioning hardly anyone would live there. The only good thing I can say about FL is some of the great eating places around Tarpon Springs.
